Strength & Balance Level 2


A full-body workout focused on improving balance, strength, and postural alignment for those that typically require a walking aid or need support to balance. Participants are encouraged to stand by holding onto a chair for balance support, however, seated options are always offered. Dumbbells or other hand weights are encouraged but not required. 

NOTE: Please register for
maximum 2/3 of the class sessions each week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) to allow for more participants to join.

About the Instructor

Amy Freeman received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of British Columbia in 1998. She has practiced in the health care field for over two decades and has included working at Holy Family Hospital’s geriatric rehabilitation program, as a home health case manager and as a social worker on geriatric psychiatry programs. She has also taught as a sessional instructor at UBC School of Social Work and served as a field instructor for social work students and currently is the social worker at the Clinic for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. She is also a Certified CrossFit Level 3 Trainer, CFES Personal Trainer, WAG Certified Nutrition Coach and fitness instructor with the BC Brain Wellness Program.
