Nature-Based Therapy: A tool for dealing with grief, loss, and self-care

Instructor Information

Tessa Keime is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Registered Art Therapist, and Marriage and Family Therapist, based in Vancouver. Her diverse experience includes addressing childhood trauma in schools, providing therapy in assisted living and memory care settings, to guiding teens and adults on week-long therapeutic mountain adventures. Currently, she is involved with the Vancouver Hospice Society and has previously worked with organizations supporting individuals with chronic illnesses such as Parkinson's disease and their care partners. Alongside her work at the hospice, Tessa runs a private practice offering traditional talk therapy, nature-based therapy, and art therapy for all ages. She also facilitates ceramic grief and loss art therapy groups and a creative therapeutic support group with the BC Brain and Wellness Program. Tessa's approach is rooted in person-centered holistic care, addressing the mind, body, and spirit/heart for comprehensive healing and well-being.
