Palliative Care: It is not what you think it is!

Instructor Information

Pascale de Kerckhove obtained a Master in Social Work from the University of British Columbia in 2011. Since then, she has worked as a social worker in acute, community, and outpatient settings serving various populations at BC Children’s Hospital, BC Women’s Hospital, BC Cancer Agency, and the North Shore Palliative & Supportive Care Program.

Since late 2022, Pascale has worked as a Care Coordinator in the Assisted Dying Program, supporting clients in their requests for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in the Vancouver Coastal Health region.

Pascale is also an Adjunct Professor at the UBC School of Social Work. Pascale’s areas of interest in social work practice are Palliative Care, MAiD, Narrative Medicine and grief counselling.
