Research Seminar Series: Are We Facing a Loneliness Epidemic, or Choosing Connection?
Is social connection a choice or a necessity for human flourishing? In this talk, Dr. Archer Lee will present a series of studies on what is needed to improve human connection on multiple levels: an acts-of-kindness intervention to reduce loneliness at the individual level, neighborhood social cohesion as a resource for community resilience, and global trends in social support. Together, this talk discusses what it means to build more connected individuals and communities in an increasingly isolated world.
