Writing to Discharge the Tough Stuff and Thrive
A creativity-forward, trauma-informed class that builds an intimate community of unwavering support. We use guided writing prompts facilitated with DBT-informed skills to help you safely discharge the tough stuff, have your stories witnessed, and invite real healing and resilience.
Who it’s for: Individuals navigating new or challenging brain-health diagnoses, complex brain-body symptoms, and anyone seeking nervous-system support, connection, and practical skills alongside creative expression.
How it works: Weekly progression with targeted prompts, mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness woven in. You’ll tap into your inherent creativity, regulate your system, and leave with grounded tools you can use in real life.
Note: Please only choose either this class or Rebecca’s Word Wellness class. After the term starts and if there are still capacity, we will accommodate for registration in both classes. If you want an intimate, skills-based container that blends creativity with DBT-informed practices for regulation, connection, and having your story witnessed, choose “Writing to Discharge the Tough Stuff & Thrive.” If you want a creativity-centred workshop that strengthens your relationship with writing and deepens self-awareness through expressive practice, choose “Word Wellness”.
